John the Baptist was known as a voice crying in the wilderness. His purpose in life became to point others to Christ. I hope to do my small part to point the world to Christ. I also hope to be an encouragement to others to point others to Christ.
Jesus is the focus. With the video below I try to bring that into perspective. Who is Jesus? Some claim he is just a myth. Other call him a liar or lunatic. Some believe he was just another prophet. Below I explain who Jesus Is to me.
Would you like to know that you have eternal life? The Bible tell us we can know.
1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
What do I need to believe to have eternal life?
1 - I am a sinner.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Sense Adam's sin all men are sinners.
Romans 5:12a
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world,
2 - Because of my sin I deserve hell.
Romans 5:12b
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
God told Adam that when He ate of the fruit he would die. However it was not a physical death where Adam fell over dead the moment he sinned, but rather a spiritual divide between him and God.
This divide still exist between us and God. This means when we die we cannot go to heaven, but to hell.
Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Now I know that I do not want to go to hell, and you probably do not either. This brings us to the good news.
3- Jesus already payed the price for your hell.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus took on himself the sins of the world and died on a cross for you. He did not have to die, for he was without sin but he did it for you.
4- Salvation is a free gift to all who believe.
Probably the most well known verse in the Bible - John 3:16 - talks about salvation as God's gift to mankind.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
What do I need to do to be saved?
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation
Believe Jesus has the power to forgive your sins and ask him to give you that free gift today.
